Sustainability at Peak

Our company prides itself on being sustainable. However, it's not just with our products that we strive to be eco-friendly and sustainable. From our building and warehouse to our practices, Peak proactively works hard to ensure we are as sustainable as possible, with everything we do.

How we work

As of 2023, the installation of our solar panelling was completed. Our on-site office now uses renewable electricity generation to power our production. 100% of the remaining electricity which we source from the grid, comes from renewable sources. 

Or building uses LED lighting throughout, thereby using less electricity.

Motion sensors control our internal and external lighting and automatically turn off when not in use. We also make excellent use of natural light to reduce lighting used throughout the day.

Our kitchen uses reusable items, and hot taps are installed in the kitchen and rest areas, using less electricity than kettles. And we have water conservation practices and processes in place everywhere, including waterless urinals in our restrooms. 

Everything that powers our building is run by electricity, not fossil fuels. 

Recycling and Waste protocols in the building 

We have a strict recycling scheme maximising the re-use of:

Plastics, paper, and cardboard waste

Waste pallets

Metal printing plates

Our warehouse

The document-enclosed pouches added to all deliveries are made from paper.
Our forklifts run on electricity.

We have charging points in the building for electric cars. 

Our modern building (less than 10 years old), both the office and warehouse are insulated. And we have an A-efficiency EPC rating on the building.

We have skylights in warehousing providing natural light and reducing electricity usage.

Reflective film is fitted on windows to reduce solar gain and therefore electricity requirements for cooling.

We regularly assess and refine our sustainability practices.

As a company, we actively demonstrate our social responsibility by following best practice protocols and encouraging our staff and our customers to do the same.
